FAQ

About the project

What is Gastro United?
A charity gastro project. Chefs from Ukraine and around the world host dinners to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Every dinner combines food, community, and a real fundraiser for the front line.
How does it work?
We organize a charity dinner in a chosen city. Chefs cook, guests come, and the evening may include an auction of lots. All funds raised go toward helping the military.
Is this a foundation or a volunteer initiative?
A charity gastro project. The legal terms of participation and payment are set out in the public offer and privacy policy.

Attending a dinner

Who can attend a dinner?
Anyone who wants to support the project. We publish the format, city, and participation terms ahead of every dinner.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes, seats are limited. Registration or booking opens separately for each event.
How much does it cost to attend?
Terms vary by dinner: a charity contribution, a ticket, or a donation. The exact amount and format are always listed in the announcement for that specific dinner.

Donations & payment

How do I donate if I won't attend a dinner?
There is a "Support" button on the site. You can make a one-time online contribution — it goes to the same fund as the dinners.
What payment methods do you accept?
Online through the payment system on the site — cards from Ukrainian and international banks, within what the payment provider supports.
Is the payment secure?
Payment is processed on the payment provider's secure page. The site does not store your card details.
What if my payment doesn't go through?
Check your balance and online payment limits. If the money wasn't charged, try again later or with a different card. If it was charged but you got no confirmation, contact us and include the payment time.

Transparency

Where does the money go?
All funds from dinners, the auction, and donations go to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — not to organizational "thank-yous" and not into private pockets.
Is there any reporting?
Yes. We publish reports for every dinner on the site — how much was raised and where it went. You can view the documents in the "Reports" section.

Auction

What are the lots?
Items and experiences put up for charity auction during the dinners — from personal belongings to symbolic lots from celebrities and service members. Proceeds also go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
How do I take part in the auction?
Bidding terms are announced at the dinner or on the lot's page. If a lot is already sold, its status will show that.

Team

Who cooks?
Chefs and bartenders who volunteer to join the project. The team lineup changes from dinner to dinner.
Can I become a chef or a venue?
Yes. If you're a chef, bartender, restaurant, or venue — reach out to the organizing committee. We consider participation for upcoming dinners.
How can I become a celebrity guest?
Invitations are arranged individually. If you'd like to join, reach out to us.
Who organizes the project?
The project's organizing committee. Contacts and members are listed in the "Organizing Committee" section.
